In November 2020, alongside the publication of our Sustainability Charter, we committed to investing £100m in good causes over five years, focusing on four key areas: safer betting and gaming; grassroots sports; diversity in technology; and projects with a clear link to regions in which we operate.

This new content marks a further step in the partnership between McLaren F1 and our Party brands, which began at the start of this year’s F1 season. Through the McLaren F1 Access Hub on the PartyCasino and partypoker websites, customers can now enjoy:

Our Foundation has two flagship social investment programmes: EnTrain and Pitching In.

EnTrain, is our global programme to promote increased access to, and diversity within, technology. Through this programme, we have set the ambitious target of positively impacting the lives of 1,000,000 people around the world – either directly or through their families and dependents – by 2030.
The Foundation’s second core programme is Pitching In, through which we are investing in grassroots sport across our global markets.
Sports and sports betting are what we do. That’s why Entain devotes considerable resources to supporting the next crop of sports stars, whatever their level, while working with organisations across the world to make sport more inclusive for all. We are an avid supporter of SportsAid, helping young British hopefuls achieve their Olympic dreams, and the Pitching In campaign provided vital financial and organisational support to local football clubs during the tough, turbulent pandemic period.

Some examples of the initiatives the Entain Foundation has been involved in include:

  • Our partnership with Tiempo de Juego, a non-profit organisation in Colombia, launched in November 2021, is one such example of the Foundation’s benefits. The campaign seeks to deliver sports training and education to community-led female football teams in disadvantaged areas of Colombia. The new partnership is one of the Foundation’s first initiatives in Latin America and looks to tackle the invisible barriers that girls and women face when practicing and competing in sport. The club will provide football training and education to 25 girls, including six football training sessions per week, three English lessons per week, and psychosocial counselling.
  • In February this year we announced we are pleased to be partnering with the non-profit organisation Sport Senza Frontiere Onlus to support underprivileged young people and their families in cities and towns across Italy. The Foundation is helping to provide free access to 30 different sport disciplines, in addition to providing school and tutoring services, counselling, health education and medical support, and support specifically for parents.
  • Supporting budding Greek Olympic athletes, the Foundation’s Greek “Team Future” campaign in partnership with bwin promotes sports in Greece through supporting clubs, European tournaments and individual athletes. Team Future supports the next generation of Olympic athletes consisting of 18 talented athletes, who strive daily to achieve their goals. We are pleased to see this campaign already showing tangible benefits with six of our Team Future athletes being selected for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, while in summer 2021, Elina Tzengko, who is part of Team Future, won the javelin gold medal at the European U-20s Championships in Tallinn, Estonia. bwin cares also supports other local community initiatives in Greece via organisations including Médecins du Monde, Fire Service, NGO Boroume, and to children and young people through ELEPAP, Together for Children, Open Door, Make-A-Wish Greece, and Ark of the World. Overall bwin supports initiatives in 60 local communities in Greece.

These are just three examples of the many programmes that the Entain Foundation is implementing to promote grassroots sports and, in turn, make a positive social contribution – something we are incredibly proud of being able to do.
